01Choose a live-location method
Use a dedicated safety app like Holler, Google Maps real-time sharing, Apple Maps, or a similar service that lets you send a live link to a Guardian. These show your location as you move, in real time, without requiring them to install anything.
02Send the link before you walk
Generate and share your live-location link with a trusted family member or friend at least a few minutes before you start. Make sure they open the link and confirm they can see you.
03Set a check-in time
Tell your Guardian roughly how long your walk will take and when you expect to be home. Agree that you'll text them when you arrive, or they'll check in with you if you're late.
04Stay in communication mode
Keep your phone on you and charged. If you feel unsafe or fall, you can call for help directly, or use a one-tap SOS button if your app offers it (Holler does) to alert your Guardian and get emergency services.
